Michigan’s Proposal 18-1, a citizen-initiated law on the November 6, 2018, ballot would legalize the production, possession, and consumption of marijuana for people over 21 years of age. Wit approval of the initiative, Michigan would join nine other states that have legalized marijuana. The law has consequences for public safety, corrections, mental health, and tax revenues.
