Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission | December 14, 2017 Draft Regulation Policy Discussion
The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission held a public meeting on December 14, 2017 from 10:30am to 3:02pm in Boston, MA, USA. This meeting is the fourth and final consecutive meeting the Commission held to discuss and vote on policies that will drive the drafting of the adult use cannabis industry regulations. Policy recommendations agreed upon at this meeting included delaying smoking in social use establishments, cash management, record keeping, fines, delivery only licenses, and fee structures.
The Commission will meet with stakeholder groups before their next public meeting in an effort to gain feedback prior to finalizing and publishing the draft adult use regulations. The general public will be able to provide testimony regarding the draft regulations during listening sessions in February. The Commission plans to have the final regulations filed with the Secretary of State by March 15, 2018 for retail sales to begin July 1, 2018.
